Collaboration with China
Newcastle Innovation is pleased to be working closely with the Chinese based Fujian Timely Power Group (Timely Power). The University of Newcastle and Newcastle Innovation have recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Timely Power to strengthen research and development collaboration as well as pursuing technology transfer between China and Newcastle, Australia.
Fujian Timely Power Group is a leading company in the field of electrical construction services. The company is technology-driven and innovation-focussed, providing a whole of service integrated solution for their customers.
On a recent visit by senior University management to Fujian, discussions where held with the Chairman of Timely Power (Mr James Dong) to explore specific research collaboration projects involving PhD students. Further discussions were also held with Newcastle Innovation relating to technology transfer projects into China.
Newcastle Innovation is working with Timely Power on one research project and we are currently exploring future collaboration opportunities.
